Offshore and Onshore Wind

Offshore and Onshore Wind

Windfarms are currently one of the largest sources of renewable energy in the world. The contribution allows the production of electricity whilst requiring no fuel, resulting in less impact on the environment and a good source of green energy. The faster the speed of the wind, the more electricity the wind turbine will generate. Currently, Hornsea Wind Farm in the UK remains the largest offshore windfarm in the world, while Gansu Wind Farm in China is the largest onshore wind farm.

Windfarms are large scale, complex projects that require a variety of expertise. GCD have extensive experience in supporting the execution of offshore and onshore windfarm projects worldwide in multicultural environments through collaborative working with developers, contractors, subcontractors, equipment suppliers, financiers, insurers, to name a few. We have in house experts with specialist knowledge covering all aspects of wind farms including cabling, Wind Turbine Generators (WTG’s), foundations, substations, testing and termination and grid connections.
